The Polish NGO Portal ‘Organizacji Pozarządowych’ has recently published an article, authored by Julia Bednarek, about the Polish response to the Ukrainian refugee crisis and where this sits in the broader migrant integration policy context in Poland.
The article, starting from the Ukrainian refugee's emergency, analyses the effectiveness of integration policies in Poland. Referring to MIPEX and the results of its 2020 research, it highlights how Poland still has work to do in terms of improving its migrant integration policies.
Despite an outwardly welcoming response to Ukrainian refugees, the president of the Polish NGO Fundacja Ocalenie says that the integration of so many refugees will be a ‘marathon and not a sprint.’
