CEU: Challenges for Labour Market Integration in Hungary: Opportunities and Limits for third country nationals

Immigrant integration is a growing challenge and topic of public debate also in Hungary. As a timely contribution to this debate, a conference entitled “Challenges for Labor Market Integration in Hungary: Opportunities and Limits for Third Country Nationals” was organized in cooperation with Panta Rhei, the Foundation of Subjective Values, the British Embassy and the British Council at Central European University on June 27, 2011.
The conference’s main purpose was to disseminate the results of an extensive study conducted by Panta Rhei as well as to exchange ideas with a variety of experts on the subject of migrants in Europe including Martin Kahanec from CEU's Department of Public Policy. The discussion confirmed the growing interest in this topic, as well as the lack of appropriate immigration and migrant integration policies in Hungary but also most of the other EU countries...
