The British Embassy in Hungary: MIPEX

On 14 April, HMA Greg Dorey was one of the opening speakers of the launch in Hungary of MIPEX III (Migrant Integration Policy Index).
The event, co-organised by the British Council and Menedék Association, was hosted by the Central European University.
As Ambassador Dorey observed in his opening remarks, MIPEX was first published in 2004 and examines over 30 countries' practises using 148 policy indicators. Since its launch, it has been a valuable source of information for NGOs, governments and the public sector alike. Ambassador Dorey highlighted the positive influences of different migrant communities in the United Kingdom, including in such unique areas as culture or even gastronomy.....

The opening remarks were followed by an all-day long conference during which participants reflected on the Anti-Discrimination, Labour Market Mobility and Education policies affecting migrants in Hungary, highlighting the main challenges for the future...Read more
